Increase Your Security System's Capability-With Less Effort
Required From You
Kalatel's Calibur
digital video multiplexers provide you with two things you want in a
security system: high technology and easy operation. They increase the
capabilities of your system but require minimal attention from you.
Whether
you're already using Kalatel products or even
other manufacturers' equipment, our multiplexers connect your CCTV
components into a comprehensive security system. And with our updated
product design, the components you use to build your system have
state-of-the-art performance and looks.
Capture two to four times more images with PVP™
technology
Calibur multiplexers use the
latest technology to give you the best performance possible. Kalatel developed and patented Parallel Video
Processing (PVP), a technology that uses twin analog-to-digital
converters to efficiently capture all the picture information sent from
multiple cameras—something other multiplexers can't do. This technology
enables Calibur multiplexers to deliver a
high-resolution, closer-to-real-time display. Best of all, they record
up to four times more images during alarms than other multiplexers.
Better Technology = Improved Performance
Capture more pictures
Other multiplexers can't keep up with picture information sent from
multiple cameras. But with Calibur, PVP
technology gives you up to 60 unique pictures per second—considerably
more pictures of critical events.
Never miss a chance to record an image you may need later
Calibur multiplexers also
feature VEXT, a connection to your VCR or digital recorder that
synchronizes the transfer of video information. VEXT synchronizes your
multiplexer and recorder no matter how often you change record speeds.
That means the recorder is always ready when the multiplexer sends
images.
Use your cameras as the eyes of your alarm system
Many Calibur multiplexers can "look" through
connected cameras to detect alarm conditions. It's what we call Video
Motion Detection. During setup, you tell the Calibur
multiplexer what conditions qualify as alarms: object size, shape or
location on the monitor. Then you set detection sensitivity and
false-alarm-rejection levels.
Change setups automatically with up to 16 saved macros
You can
save up to 16 different setups for your Calibur
multiplexer so it can adapt to different guard shifts or changing
security needs. These saved setups, called macros, tell the Calibur multiplexer which camera images to display,
how to display them, which to record, what record speed to use, which
external alarms to activate and more.
Cover all the angles during alarms
Our
Associated Multicamera Display feature gives
you crucial viewing options in an alarm situation. When an alarm is
triggered, your Calibur multiplexer
automatically displays images from the camera at the alarm location as
well as images from up to three cameras associated with the alarm area.
You can even freeze the initial image from the alarmed camera in one
section of the quad display while you watch subsequent images as they
happen.
